CALL MY BLUFF WINE QUIZ

Horseshoe Inn, Shipston-on-Stour, Tuesday 9th February, 8.00pm

Together with splendid people at the Horseshoe Inn we have devised a fun evening based on the Call My Bluff games show.

Teams of four people will taste a total of seven wines. There will be an “Expert Panel” of two wine consultants who will each offer a description of the wine that you have just tasted - one will be real and one false. Your team must then write down the correct answer, and at the end of the tasting you will swap papers for marking!

The winning team will receive a bottle of champagne, and there will also be a fine selection of cheese to nibble throughout the evening!

The evening should prove to be most entertaining - and we have even laid on some gentle folk music to carouse you - all for just £9.50 per head which includes the wine, cheese, music & the experts’ time.

Teams will be made up of four people - you can either enter as a whole team, or couples will be paired off on the night. You can book your place by calling the Horseshoe Inn on 01608 662190

A CHRISTMAS CAROL GRAND CHARITY WINE TASTING

The Stratford Armouries, Pathlow, 8th December 2009

The evening is in aid of The Graham Fulford Charitable Trust, Prostate Cancer support federation for FREE P.S.A. testing, to help detect Prostate Cancer in its early stages (N.B. 1 in 4 men over 40 are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer).

Please come along and support this worthy cause and let us be able to give a special Christmas donation to help all concerned.

The ticket price of £10.00 includes a Special Wine Tasting, Baked Potato Supper and Mince Pies, with Christmas Carols and a Charity Auction. The Charity Auction is being organised by Stephen Bruce, to be introduced by David Baxter-Smith, Medical Advisor to the Prostate Cancer Support Federation.

Part of the attraction of our wine tasting is meeting other like minded people who enjoy their wine and want to share their experience with others and gain a little knowledge on the way from the professionals presenting their wares.

Summer Wine Tasting Extraordinaire

The Granville, Barford, 17th June

Experience the real flavour of wine from some organic and biodynamic Wineries and Estates, and learn a little more about those wines not normally seen, from unknown sources. Come along and meet your friends at the Granville at Barford.

We are proud to launch Dorjé’s New Wine List, competitively priced wines for a great wine tasting experience for all to enjoy, from over fifty wines.

Winemaker's Dinner and Tasting

The Sun Inn, Hook Norton, 28th April

Pasquale will be introducing his three wines, Bianco Spinomarino 2007, Primitivo Gioia Del Colle 2004 and his majestic Primitivo Gioia Del Colle Riserva Speciale 2003.

The dinner will consist of Antipasta, followed by Agnello Assutte (Oven roasted leg of lamb with potatoes), then Il Dolce – Crostata Di Limone (A delightful Puglian lemon tart). To finish off there will be some Italian cheese for the Primitivo Riserva. This will be a feast to welcome our Wonderful Friend, Pasquale, to the Sun Inn.

The cost of the evening will be £30.00 to include the Dinner and Wine. The Sun Inn offers Pasquale’s Primitivo by the glass on the wine list as a special wine from Italy of this Top Estate.

Wine and Indian Cuisine Tasting

Sunday, 25th January 2009 at Rozana Tandori Restaurant, Leamington Spa

We will be hosting a complimentary wine tasting to introduce you to the team at the Rozana Tandoori Restaurant. Our particular interest is the new Chef and his healthy fish dishes and also his excellent curries. The most important thing is to let you know that there is warm welcome awaiting you, and you will have an extremely pleasant evening with us as our guests. All we ask is that you contribute a nominal £15.00 per head towards the food. Hope to see you on Sunday, January 25th, 2009, from 7.00 p.m. and that you are able to support the Rozana Tandoori Restaurant experience. This restaurant will be a wonderful extra facility for the residents of Leamington Spa.
